Anna Ondra Hejtmanek1857 - 1942 (84 years)Loading... Obituary- Hejtmanek, Anna 1 Those who knew her best will probably always think of flowers when they think of her. She always had her "little bit of Czechoslovakia" her flower garden, wherever she lived, this she carefully and lovingly tended and watered no matter how busy or tired she was. When it was exceptionally beautiful she would say, "It is just like my mother's garden." Fifty years ago she with her family moved to a farm where the house was built on a rocky knoll. Even the weed would not grow but she had to have a flower garden. Many loads of rich soil from the woods, mixed with leaf mold were hauled around the house. This was hauled a distance of two miles. She had her flowers and the garden was a rural eight not soon forgotten by those who saw it. Even during the past year though she was growing feeble, she never forgot to water her flowers when the rain delayed in coming.
