ELEANOR BAUMCHEN
Eleanor Baumchen, 94, passed away Tuesday, May 22 ,2012, at the St. Marys Manor.
She was born Sept. 22, 1917, at Delia, the daughter of Peter and Nel¬lie Grace Lane.
Mrs. Baumchen grew up in the Delia community and graduated from Delia High School.
Eleanor was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Con¬ception Catholic Church, St. Marys.
On Feb. 10, 1945, she was united in marriage to Albert P. Baumchen at Delia. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1995. Mrs. Baumchen was also preceded in death by her siblings Rita Kreller, Julia Lane, Dennis Lane and Margaret Ketter.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Perine, Lake Wabaunsee; three sons, Larry Baumchen, Olathe, Bob Baumchen, St. Marys and Pete Baumchen, Hutchison; a sister, Dolores McCormick, Wausau, Wis.; eight grandchildren and 14 great¬grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, May 25, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Interment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Endowment Fund and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 W. Maple, St. Marys, KS 66536.
