Robert J. Immenschuh
Robert J. Immenschuh, 55, Rossville, died Tuesday, April 26, 1988, south of Rossville, of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Mr. Immenschuh was born October 7, 1932, at Rossville, the son of Phillip Charles and Dora Marie Simecka Immenschuh.
Mr. Immenschuh attended schools in Rossville and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1950.
Mr. Immenschuh was a bulldozer operator for James Rezac Construction Company for 12 years. He worked as a welder for Henry Manufacturing Company and Allis Chalmers. He was employed as a lay-out specialist for the Topeka Foundry and Iron Works for the last 10 years.
He was an associate member of Jimmie Lillard Post #31 of the American Legion Post #31 of the American Legion at Rossville and also Peoples State Rollers Club at Rossville.
Mr. Immenschuh was married to Ruth Olson on September 16, 1951, at Rossville. She survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Marie Immenschuh, January 2, 1952.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Marcia Dechand, Meriden, and Mrs. Robert Lemay, Council Grove; a son, Russell Immenschuh, Rossville; a brother, Marvin Immenschuh, Delia; a sister, Mrs. Helen Decker, Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Parker-Price Mortuary with the Rev. Robert Sieh officiating. Interment was in Rossville Cemetery.
