Sophie C. Koci
AUBURN — Sophie C. Koci, 81, of Auburn died Thursday, June 28, 1990, at her home.
She was born Dec. 6, 1908, in Rossville, the daughter of Frank and Tressie Hejtmanek Hromada. She lived all her life in Shawnee County.
She was married to Joe W. Koci on Apr.il 17, 1929, in Topeka. He died Dec. 19, 1959.


Survivors include a daughter, Doro¬thy Henderson, Wakarusa; a son, Melvin Koci, Wichita; a sister, Agnes Martinek, Rossville; six grandchild¬ren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Auburn Ceme¬tery. Mrs. Koci will lie in state after noon Saturday until service time Monday at the funeral home, where family and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
