Donald Wilbur Knudsen
Donald Wilbur Knudsen of Topeka passed away April 25, 2012. He was born Nov. 11, 1928, the son of David and Helen (Henderickson) Knudsen.
After serving in the Army, Donald worked as a carpenter at Whelan’s in Topeka for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose E. Knudsen, and sister, Joyce Gray.
His pastimes included hunting, fishing, and metal detecting.
He was a silversmith and formally taught silversmith classes at Rice Community Center.
Mr. Knudsen is survived by his children, Rick Knudsen and wife Lori of Silver Lake, Madalyn Knudsen and John Schulz of Eudora, Jerri Childs and husband Bill of Silver Lake; a brother, Gene Knudsen and wife Connie of Russell; grandchil-dren Derek Ogan, Emily Ogan, Andrea Norris, Katie Martens, Andy Knudsen, Zach Knudsen and Matthew Knudsen; and great-grandchildren, Paxton Willett and Ava Martens.
Visitation was set for 10 to noon April 28 at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Rossville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.
