Obituary- Kolde, James 1

James “Jim” Kolde
WAMEGO- James “Jim" Kolde, 65, of Wamego passed away Tues., September 1st, 2009 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

He was born on October 11, 1943 in Paxico, Kansas, the son of Raymond “Doc” and Leola E. (Hesse) Kolde. Jim graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1961. He served in the Navy on the USS Forrester. Jim was a member of the Local 441 (Pipefitters Union) of Topeka and was a journeyman for 42 years. Survivors include: his sons, Jason and Shane, Wamego, KS, Chad and wife Jessica of Atlanta, GA, his mother, Leola Kolde of St. Marys, KS, his brothers Bob of St. Marys, KS and Rick of Belvue, KS, his sisters, Dorothy Hoobler and husband Kenny of St. Marys, KS, Mary Miller and husband Dennis of St. Marys, KS, Barb Leeper and husband Mick of Topeka, KS, and Theresa Webb and husband Ron of Silver Lake, KS, and his many nieces, nephews and special friend Linda Springer. Jim was preceded in death by his father Raymond “Doc” Kolde and his sister Eileen.

A mass of Christian burial will be September 4th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wamego. The Rosary will be said Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. Memorials are to Midland Hospice House left in care of the funeral home, P.O.
