Obituary- Kovar, Louis 2
Rotarians lifted the stricken clergyman in his chair and bodily carried him to the ambulance which had been summoned.
Doctor Kovar apparently lost consciousness en route to the hospital here. He was accompanied on the ride by Mrs. Kovar and others.
Dr. Kovar was born near Rossville, Kans. After finishing high school in Delia, Kans., he attended Kansas State University, where he received a B.S. degree in 1931. In 1935, he received his B.D. degree from Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Omaha, Neb. He was awarded a P.H.D. degree from Macalister College in St. Paul, Minn. in 1956. The same year he became pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here.
After his ordination in the Presbytery of Topeka in 1935, he held numerous pastorates in Oklahoma, Missouri, Minnesota and attended as a missionary and observer, a school for Indian Mission work in Metlakatla, Alaska.
At the time of his death he was making plans for a cruise tour to Canada and Alaska as a leader of a Presbyterian
