RAY R. MARTINEK
Ray R. Martinek, 48, a life-long resident of Rossville-Delia communities, died early Tuesday, Oct. 23, 1951, in a Topeka hospital after an illness of several months. He was born July 17, 1903, on the family farm northeast of Rossville. Since his return from army service in the second World war had operated an electrical business in Delia. He was a member of Capitol Post No. 1, American Legion; the Sacred Heart Church of Delia and the Z. C. B. J., a Moravian Lodge No. 129 of Rossville Township.
Beside his wife, Mrs. Bertha Martinek, of the home, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Agnes Martinek, Route One, Rossville; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Brown, Kansas City, Mo.,; Mrs. Helen Macha, Council Grove; Mrs. Agnes Kozak, Topeka and Mrs. Stella Kovar, Rossville; seven brothers: Vince and William Martinek, Silver Lake; Steven Martinek, Topeka; Albert, Henry, Emil and Bennie of this community.
The funeral will be at 9 a. m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Church at Delia with American Legion services at the grave in Mount Calvary cemetery at St. Marys. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. this (Thursday) night at his home.

He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Capitol Post No.1, American Legion, the Sacred Heart Church in Delia and the Morvan Lodge No. 129, at Rossville.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Martinek, of the home; his mother, Mrs. Agnes Martinek, Rossville; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Brown, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Helen Macha, Council Grove, Mrs. Agnes Kozak, Topeka, and Mrs. Stella Kovar, Rossville; seven brothers, Vince and William Martinek, Silver Lake, Steven Martinek, Topeka, Albert, Henry, Emil and Bennie Martinek, all of Rossville.
