Doris Alice Mohler
SILVER LAKE - Doris Alice Mohler, 70, Silver Lake, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1993, at her home. She had been ill five months with cancer.
Mrs. Mohler and her husband farmed more then [sic] 50 yers [sic] in the Silver Lake community.
She was born Oct. 13, 1923, at Rossville, the daughter of Charles E. and Alice Stum DeGraff. She attended Rossville and Silver Lake schools.
Mrs. Mohler was an associate member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville.
She was married to Lawrence H. Mohler Aug. 6, 1945, at Troy. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Sharon Smith and Diane Jordan, both of Silver Lake, and Charlotte Stremming, Topeka; two sons, Wendell L. Mohler and Edward Mohler, both of Silver Lake; six sisters, her twin, Dolly Heiland, Rossville, and Lottie McGuire, Vera Sicking and Phyllis Roney, all of Topeka, Patricia Brown, Meriden, and Bonnie Thomas, Silver Lake; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery northwest of Topeka. Mrs. Mohler will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary where family and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 1272 S.W. Fillmore, Topeka, 66604-1167.
