IDA LEMON
Mrs. Ida Lemon, 78, St. Marys, died late Monday, October 18, 1982, at a St. Marys nursing home.
She was born March 10, 1904, near Valencia, west of Topeka, the daughter of James F. and Malicent Ready Taber. She spent her life in the Rossville, Dover and St. Marys communities. She moved into St. Marys in 1947.
Mrs. Lemon was a member of the United Methodist Church at St. Marys.
She was married to Troy Lemon July 16, 1924, at Manhattan. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Keyser, St. Marys; three sisters, Mrs. Iva Davis, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Maud Ottinger, Denver, and Mrs. Goldie Perkins, Arvada, Colo.; two brothers, Frank Taber, Dover, and Carl Taber, Keene; and a granddaughter.
Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church at St. Marys. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Relatives and friends met from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church at St. Marys.
