Roy Lee Luthye
Roy Lee Luthye, 76, 1643 Central Park, died Thursday at a local hospital, apparently of a heart attack.
He was born Nov. 26, 1892, in Topeka, but had lived at Silver Lake most of his life.
He retired in 1965 from his job as stationary engineer at Hotel Jayhawk.
He was a member of American Legion Capitol Post No. 1, Silver Lake United Methodist Church, and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tillie A. Luthye, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Lee McLean, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Groat, 1029 Billard; Mrs. Faye McDaniel, 1125 W. Lyman and Mrs. Jessie Furler, 2236 Indian Trail; a brother, Charles Luthye, 822 Warren and three stepgrandchildren.
Services are pending at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
