Obituary- Bacon, Marjorie

Marjorie Ann Bacon, 78, of Berryton, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born May 15, 1935 in Delia, KS, the daughter of Harold and Mary Stitch Reser. Marjorie graduated from Berryton High School in 1953. She was involved in Riverside 4-H, the Harmony Club, the Sesame Club, and the FCE. Marjorie married Alvin W. Bacon on March 20, 1954. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. He survives. Other survivors include four children and their spouses, Debbie and Les Sharrai (Mulford), Tom and Carla Bacon, Kenny and Debra Bacon, Joe and Shirley Bacon, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Berryton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Marjorie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
