Obituary- Strimple, Earl

Earl E. Strimple
Earl E. Strimple, 88, Wichita, formerly of Topeka, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992, at a Wichita hospital.

Mr. Strimple worked 43 years for General American Life Insurance Co. and was general manager of the company when he retired.

He was born July 21, 1904, at Portland, Ore., the son of Eugene and Mable VanVIeck Strimple. He was graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1928 from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He lived and worked in the Topeka area until 1939.

Mr. Strimple was a member of First United Methodist Church and Bestor Brown Lodge No. 433, AF&AM, both in Wichita.

He was married to Tillie Kopf on June 5, 1965, in Wichita. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Wanda J. James, Hoisington, and Phyllis A. Larson, Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Wichita. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Television Ministry, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, 67202. Cochran Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
