MRS. ELLA THOMPSON
Mrs. Ella Lucretia Thompson, daughter of Alfred and Celestia Keller, was born June 16, 1832, at Phillipsburg, Kansas. She died July 8, 1957, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
She came to the Delia community with her parents at the age of twelve and had made her home there since that time. She was a member of the United Brethern [sic] Church.
She was married to Ludvig S. Thompson on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1903. Her husband preceded Tier in death January 7, 1957. One son, Lt. Arthur H. Thompson, gave his life in the service of his country January 2, 1944.
She is survived by three daughters and five sons, Mrs. Cecile Zlatnik of Delia; Mrs. Rosa Fuller, Thermal, California; Mrs. Ella Fuller, Coachella, California; Dr. Layton Thompson, Bozeman, Montana; Sivert and Alfred Thompson of Orange, California; Eugene and Maurice Thompson of Topeka; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Alta Thompson of Delia; Mrs. Lillie Worthington of Rawlins, Wyoming. Three brothers, John and Lynn Keller of Delia; Levi Keller of Rossville. A host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 10, at the Delia Presbyterian church. The Rev. Don Evans of Topeka conducted the services.
Mrs. Don Berkey of Rossville sang Sometime, Somewhere, Well Understand and The Lord's Prayer accompanied by Mrs. William Hill of Rossville.
