Chris Viergever
Chris Viergever, 83, Rossville, died Saturday, August 19, 1989, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Viergever taught school for 25 years in Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas.

He was born March 16, 1906, at Willard, the son of Leonard and Adriana VanDonge Viergever. He lived most of his life in Rossville.

Mr. Viergever was married to Ethel F. Gooden on January 3, 1934, at Oskaloosa. She survives. A son, Gerald Viergever, preceded him in death.

Other survivors include a son, Dan W. Viergever, Chanute; two daughters, Sharon Graves, Rossville, and Sue Flerlage, St. Marys; a sister, Adrienne Beer, Willard; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday (this morning) at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to be used for the beautification of the school grounds of Unified School District 321 may be made in care of Silver Lake Bank, Silver Lake, 66539.
