Obituary- Carrell, Alverta

ROSSVILLE -- Alverta M. Carrell, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1994, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Dec. 30, 1905, on a farm near Rossville, the daughter of Charlie G. and Alice V. Kirby Lemon. She lived on the farm where she was born all her life. She was graduated from Rossville High School. She married Clayton W. Carrell on March 5, 1936, at Rossville. He survives.
Mrs. Carrell, a homemaker, was a member of the Rossville Christian Church and was active in women's groups there. Survivors include a son, Leroy E. Carrell, Rossville.
Funeral services will be 1-0 a.m. Monday at the Rossville Christian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Carrell will lie in state from2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, where visitation is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Rossville Christian Church or the American Heart Association.
