Lundin-Fox Couple Married June 6
Amy Marie Lundin became the bride of Kevin Wayne Fox at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 1992. The Rev. Carl Dekat officiated the double ring ceremony at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys.
Parents of the couple are Ralph and Judy Lundin, Delia, and Jerry and Marikay Fox, St. Marys. Grandparents of the couple are June McCollough, Rossville; Francis Zemek and Don and Rita Fox, all of St. Marys.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a white short-sleeved satin gown with a sweetheart neckline. The gown featured pouf sleeves with beaded motifs. The Basque waist was accented with a cummerbund which wrapped around to a candy box bow. The semi-cathedral scalloped train was sprinkled with sequins and cut-out motifs. She wore a fingertip headpiece accented with flowers, sequins and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink and white roses, stephanotis and baby’s breath.
Attending the bride were Debbie Fox, Halstead, maid of honor; Cynthia Richardson, Kansas City, and Joyce Thummel, Wichita, bridesmaids. They wore crystal teal satin dresses with dropped waists and high-low hems. The pleated low backs featured candy box bows. They carried presentation bouquets of pink and white roses.
Kristi and Lori Fox, St. Marys, were candle lighters. They wore dresses identical to those of the bridesmaids and wore wrist corsages of pink roses. Courtney Zemek, St. Marys, was the flower girl. She wore a floor-length pink satin dress with a ruffled lace collar. She carried a basket of pink and white silk roses. Cody VandeVelde, St. Marys, was ring bearer. He wore a black tuxedo with a pink bow tie and cummerbund.
Attending the groom were Tim Haase, Everest, best man; Keegan Jackson and Doug Mead, Kansas City, groomsmen. They wore black full dress pin-striped tuxedos with white vests and bow ties. The groom wore a boutonniere of white roses and his attendants wore pink rose boutonnieres.
Mothers of the couple each wore two-piece light mauve dresses with white silk rose corsages. Bryan Reiners, St. Marys, sang “Sunrise, Sunset” as the mothers entered the church. They were escorted by the fathers. Each mother lit a candle on one side of the Unity Candle. “Just You and I” was sung as the couple lit the Unity Candle. Helen Lytle, Rossville, was organist.
The scripture readings were by Sister Aurelia Fox, O.S.B., Junction City. Altar boys were Ryan Fox, St. Marys, and Jason Fox, Wamego. Communion minister was Mary Lundin, Mayetta.
The offertory was presented by Gary and Evelyn Fox, St. Marys. “The Wedding Song” was sung during communion.
Ushers were Scott Uhl, Topeka, Larry Marshall, Emmett, and Steven Lundin, Delia. Their tuxedoes were identical to those of the groomsmen.
Heather Eck, Spring Hill, was guest book attendant. Program attendants were Heather Fox and Amanda VandeVelde, St. Marys. Diane Hagemann, Leawood, and Ann Tripp, Rossville, were gift attendants.
The reception, buffet and dance were held at the Centennial Building. Reception hostess was Genevieve Matyak, Delia. Servers were Jeanette Otter, Perry; Jeanette Huizenga, Elk City, Okla.; and Heidi Stromgren, Osage City The bride was serenaded by her Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority sisters.
The bride is a graduate of Rossville High School and is a senior at Kansas State University, where she is majoring in sociology and criminal justice.
The groom is a graduate of St. Marys High School and Kansas State University with a degree in architectural engineering. He is employed by Hoss & Brown Engineers, Inc. of Topeka.
The couple took a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla.
