Anniversary- Townsend, Cecil and Gwendolin 1

The children of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Townsend will honor their parents with a reception Sunday, Aug. 24 in Fellowship Hall of the Oakland Christian Church in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.

No invitations are being sent. Friends and relatives are asked to call from 2 to 4:30 p.m. The couple asks that no gifts be presented.

Mr. and Mrs. Townsend were married Aug. 23,1919 in Albany, Mo., and have lived in Topeka 50 years. Mr. Townsend is a retired Santa Fe employee.

Their children are Mrs. Scott Kelsey and Mrs. Richard Kelsey, Rossville, Hubert Townsend and William Townsend. There are 10 grandchildren.
